As the southernmost city in Alaska, Ketchikan is known as the "Salmon Capitol of the World". Even though it is the fifth most populous city in the state, Eric has captured the essence of this fishing "town". Brightly painted wooden houses stand against a lush green backdrop of evergreens and mountains. Salmon abound—jumping out of the water, being caught by fishermen and children alike—even an eagle gets his share.
